আচার্য যােগেশচন্দ্র পুরাকৃতি ভবন (Museum) (মিউজিয়াম)

বাঁকুড়া জেলায় প্রাপ্ত পুরাবস্তুর এক বিশাল সংগ্রহশালা। ১৯৫১ সালের ২৯ জানুয়ারীতে বঙ্গীয় সাহিত্য পরিষদের এই শাখাটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন মাণিকলাল সিংহ। ১৯৫৪ সালে আচার্য যােগেশচন্দ্র রায় এর নামকরণে ভবনটির নাম হয় আচার্য যােগেশচন্দ্র পুরাকৃতি ভবন’। হুগলী জেলার দিগুড়া গ্রামে ১৮৫৯ সালের ২০ অক্টোবর ‘আচার্য যােগেশচন্দ্র’ জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। ১৯১০ সালে তিনি বিদ্যানিধি’ উপাধিতে ভূষিত হন। ১৯৫৬ সালে তিনি প্রয়াত হন। | পুরাকৃতি ভবনে পাল ও সেন যুগের ও তার পরবর্তী কালের বহু মূর্তি, মূঘল যুগের শিল্পকলা, বহু প্রাচীন পুঁথি, কুষাণ ও মধ্যযুগের অসংখ্য মুদ্রা, পুরাতন রেশম বস্ত্র, পট, কুটির শিল্পজাত দ্রব্য, দশাবতার তাস ইত্যাদির মহামূল্যবান সগ্রহ রয়েছে।

এছাড়াও রবীন্দ্র সঙ্গীতের স্বরলিপিকার সুরেন্দ্রনাথ বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের ব্যবহৃত সুরবাহার বাদ্যযন্ত্রটি সংগৃহীত হয়ে আছে। | সংগ্রহশালাটি সকাল ১০টা থেকে সন্ধ্যে ৬টা পর্যন্ত খােলা থাকে (সােমবার সাপ্তাহিক ছুটি থাকে)।

A huge collection of antiquities found in Bankura district. On January 29, 1951, Maniklal Singh established this branch of Bangiya Sahitya Parishad. In 1954, the building was named Acharya Yogeshchandra Purakriti Bhavan after Acharya Yogeshchandra Roy. 'Acharya Yogeshchandra' was born on 20 October 1859 in Digura village of Hooghly district. In 1910 he was awarded the title of Vidyanidhi. He passed away in 1956. | The archaeological building houses many statues of the Pala and Sena eras and later, Mughal era art, many ancient figurines, numerous coins of the Kushan and medieval eras, old silk cloths, pots, cottage handicrafts, Dasavatar cards etc.

 Also collected is the Surbahara instrument used by Surendranath Bandopadhyay, the composer of Rabindra Sangeet. | The museum is open from 10 am to 6 pm (Saturday is a weekend).
