লালগড় (Lalgarh Park)

সপ্তদশ শতাব্দীতে মল্লরাজাদের আমলে এই গড়টি তৈরী হয়। এটি মূলতঃ একটি জলাধার। ল্যাটেরাইট পাথর দিয়ে তৈরী জলাধারটির মাঝখানে ৪০ ফুট গভীর একটি চৌকো কুয়াে আছে। সেখান থেকে ঘােড়ায় বা বলদের সাহায্যে বড় পাত্র করে জল টেনে তােলা হত। কুয়ােটির গা বেয়ে সিঁড়ি নেমেছে অনেক গভীরে। ২০০১ সালে বাঁকুড়া জেলা পরিষদ লালগড়কে ঘিরে একটি পর্যটনস্থল তথা প্রকৃতি উদ্যান গড়ে তােলেন। বর্তমানে একটি ওয়াচ টাওয়ার তৈরী করা হয়েছে। 

During the seventeenth century during the reign of the Malla Rajas, this Gadhar was built. It is basically a reservoir. There is a square well 40 feet deep in the middle of the reservoir made of laterite stone. From there water was drawn in large pots with the help of horses or oxen. The stairs go down to the bottom of the well. In 2001 Bankura District Council built a tourist spot and nature park around Lalgarh. A watch tower has now been built.
