জোড়বাংলা (Jorbangla Tample)

(এই মন্দিরটি দৈর্ঘ্যে ১১.৮ মিটার প্রস্থ ১১.৭ মিটার এবং উচ্চতা ১০.৭ মিটার) অপূর্ব স্থাপত্য কলার এই মন্দিরটি মল্লরাজ প্রথম মল্লরাজ সিংহ ১৬৫৫ খ্রীষ্টাব্দে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন । পরস্পর সংযুক্ত দুটি দোচালা কুটিরের সমন্নয়ে গঠিত এবং সংযুক্ত অংশের মধ্যস্থলে একটি চারচালা শিখর বিদ্যমান; তাই মন্দিরটির নাম জোড়বাংলা । কৃষ্ণরায় মন্দির নামে পরিচিত হলেও বাংলা স্থাপত্য অনুসারে জোড়বাংলা মন্দির বলা হয় । মন্দিরের চারিদিকে রামায়ণ-মহাভারতের কাহিনী, শিকার দৃশ্য, সামাজিক জীবনযাত্রার দৃশ্য শিল্পীরা সুন্দরভাবে ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন । বাংলা পোড়ামাটির অলংকরণের শ্রেষ্ঠ নদর্শন হিসাবে পরিচিত ।

 This temple of wonderful architecture was established by Mallaraja I Mallaraja Singha in 1655 AD. It is composed of two gabled cottages connected to each other and a gabled peak exists in the middle of the connected part; Hence the name of the temple is Jorbangla. Although it is known as Krishna Raya temple, it is called Jorbangla temple according to Bengali architecture. Around the temple, the stories of Ramayana-Mahabharata, hunting scenes, social life scenes have been beautifully depicted by the artists. Bengali is known as the best example of terracotta decoration.
