গুমগড় (Gumgarh)

 

এই স্থাপত্যটি তৈরি করেছিল মল্লরাজ বীরসিংহ সপ্তদশ শতাব্দীর দ্বতীয়ার্ধে । অনেকের ধারণা এখানে অপরাধীদের শাস্তি দেওয়া হত । আবার কেউ কেউ বলেন এটি মল্লরাজাদের শস্যাগার ছিল । ঐতিহাসিক মতে, এটি ছিল রাজবাড়ীর জলের ট্যাঙ্ক, কারণ এর কাছাকাছি কিছু জলের পোড়ামাটির পাইপ পাওয়া যায় । তবে এই মতটিরই প্রাধান্য বেশী ।

This architecture was built by Mallaraja Birsingh in the second half of the seventeenth century.  Many believe that criminals were punished here.  Others say it was the granary of the Malla Rajas.  Historically, it was the royal water tank, as some terracotta water pipes are found near it.  But this opinion is more important.
