মা মৃন্ময়ী মন্দির (Maa Mrinmoyee Tample)

 

মল্লরাজ জগৎমল্ল ৯৯৭ খ্রীষ্টাব্দে দেবীর দৈবাদেশ পেয়ে মন্দির ও মূৰ্ত্তি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন বলে কথিত আছে । এই মূৰ্ত্তিটি গঙ্গামাটির তৈরী । দুর্গোৎসবের সময় ১৫ দিন ধরে পটে পূজা হয় । মল্লরাজাদের সময় থেকে এখনও অবধি এই মায়ের পূজো হয় তোপধ্বনি করে । মহাষ্টমীর সন্ধিক্ষণের সময় তোপধ্বনি দেখতে প্রচুর লোকের ও পর্যটকের সমাগম হয় । রামকৃষ্ণদেব মাকে দর্শন করতে এখানে এসেছিলেন । মন্দিরটির পিছনেই রয়েছে রাজবাড়ীর ধ্বংসাবশেষ ।

Mallaraja Jagatamalla is said to have established the temple and idol in 997 AD. This statue is made of Ganga clay. During Durgotsavam Pata is worshiped for 15 days. From the time of the Mallarajas until now, this mother is worshiped with the sound of cannons. At the juncture of Mahashtami, a large number of people and tourists gather to watch the fireworks. Ramakrishnadev came here to visit his mother. Behind the temple are the ruins of the palace.
