টেরাকোটা শিল্প (Terrakota Art)

 

বিষ্ণুপুর মন্দিরের অসাধারণ টেরাকোটার অলংকরণ যারা করেছিলেন। তারাই নানা স্থানে চলে যান। এখন এই শিল্প পাঁচমুড়াতে দেখা যায়। যে ঘােড়া বাঁকুড়ার গৌরববাহী, বাংলার হস্তশিল্পের প্রতীক তা তৈরী হয় পাঁচমুড়াতে। এছাড়া হাতি, মানসাঝাড়, শঙ্খ, ছাইদানি, ধূপদানি ও গৃহসজ্জার নানা উপকরণ তৈরী হয়।

Who did the wonderful terracotta decoration of the Bishnupur temple. They went to different places. Now this art can be seen in Panchmura. The Ghera Bankura, the symbol of Bengal's handicrafts, is made in Panchmura. Besides elephants, mansajhars, conch shells, ash trays, censers and various materials for home decoration are made.
