শ্যামরায় মন্দির (পাঞ্চচূড়া) (Shyamrai Tample) Panchchura

 

(এই মন্দিরটি দৈর্ঘ্যে ও প্রস্থে ১১.৪ মিটার ও উচ্চতা ১০.৭ মিটার)

টেরাকোটার কাজে সমৃদ্ধ এই পঞ্চরত্ন মন্দিরটি ১৬৪৩ খ্রিস্টাব্দে মল্লরাজ রঘুনাথ সিংহ প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন । পোড়ামাটির অলংকরণের প্রাচুর্যে এই ইঁটের মন্দিরটি সার্বশ্রেষ্ঠ । দক্ষিণমুখী এই দোবালয়ের দক্ষিণদিকের দেওয়ালে নিবদ্ধ চার লাইনের প্রাচীন উৎসর্গ লিপিটি নিম্নরূপ-

"শ্রীরাধিকা কৃষ্ণমুদে শকেঙ্কবে / দাঙ্ক যুক্তে নবরত্নরতং / শ্রীবীর হাম্বির / নরেশ সুনুর্দদৌ নৃপ শ্রীরঘুনাথ -। সিংহ: ॥ মল্ল সকে ৯৪৯ । শ্রীরাজা বীরসিংহ" । অর্থ্যাৎ, রাধাকৃষ্ণের আনন্দের জন্য নরেশ বীর হাম্বিরের পুত্র নৃপ রঘুনাথ সিংহ ৯৪৯ মল্লাব্দে এই নবরত্ন মন্দিরটি দান করলেন । এই মন্দিরের বাইরে ও ভিতরের দেওয়ালে রাসলীলা, ফুলকারি কাজ ও রামায়ণ-মহাভারতের দৃশ্য দেখা যায় ।

 Rich in terracotta work, this Pancharatna temple was established in 1643 AD by Mallaraj Raghunath Singh. This brick temple is outstanding in its abundance of terracotta ornamentation. The four-line ancient dedication inscription on the southern wall of this south-facing dobala is as follows-

 "Sriradhika Krishnamude Shakenkabe / Dank Yukte Navaratnaratang / Sriveer Hambir / Naresh Sunurdau Nrip Sriraghunath -. Singha: ॥ Malla Sake 949. Sriraja Virasingha". That is, for the pleasure of Radhakrishna, Naresh Bir Hambir's son Nrip Raghunath Singh donated this Navaratna temple in 949 Mallab. The outer and inner walls of this temple have rasalila, phulkari work and scenes from Ramayana-Mahabharata.
